ArrivalArrive at the airport near Siliguri, Bagdogra airport. one can also avail railway transportation till New Jalpaiguri. ( NJP). A car will be waiting for you at the railway station or the airport to drive you to Manebhanjyang. The drive will be through Mirik, so on the way, you can also visit Mirik lake. The old and heritage land rover that you can only find in this route serves for the travelers at Manebhanjyang. So, just change the vehicle and enjoy the jerky and twisting drive through the Singalila National Park and Tinchuley forest of Nepal. The place where you will halt is called Tumling. A beautiful homestay will be arranged for you to spend your night. If the daylight permits you can capture some really beautiful views of the landscape.
Get ready for action at TumlingSo, wind up your gears and get ready for the action. Although the enchanting glimpse of Mt. Khangchendzonga range covered with the white snow turning into golden color with the warmth of the sunrise can behold you for a while. Meanwhile not wasting any time the wildlife tracking crew will always be on the chase. During the day you can explore Tumling and the beauty of the Tinchuley forest waiting for the first signal. As soon as you get any information you can rush to the sighting location.
Drive down to Gairibas- The breeding zone of the Red PandasThis day again after enjoying the morning at Tumling, you can drive down to Gairibas. This spot is well-known for birds and is often called the paradise of Sigalila for birding. If the previous day wasn't a good day, here you will have more chances to get the information from the Wildlife Trackers. The locals will be on the continuous run to track the movement of Red Panda and the slightest possibility can make your day.
Birding at Gairibas.Spend another day at Garibas capturing the rare Himalayan birds. The focus will be mainly on tracking Red panda in the expert's team will always under communication. As Red Pandas are very shy mammals, they hardly not easy to sight. Spending two nights at Gairibas will definitely be worthy of capturing a glimpse of Red Panda.
Explore KalipokhariToday change the route and drive to Kalipokhari, Nepal. The place shares the same geography as the Singalila, the only difference is that the forest in Nepal is called Tinchuley. This corridor is also the best place to spot the Red panda. This day the trackers will be working on both the Singalilia and the Tinchuley forest to track THE Red Panda. Stay at Kalipokhari
Explore Sandakhphu.Early morning after breakfast, drive to Sandakhphu, one of the highest points of West Bengal. This place is renowned for its beautiful view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and the other peaks. Enjoy your half-day exploring Sandakhphu and after lunch get back to business driving towards Gairibas. Check your last chances for Red panda photography at Gairibas.
Leave with happy memoriesAfter breakfast, just give your thanks to the almighty Himalayas and with all the memories of the cutest animal of Singalila, drive down to Manebhanjyang. Change your car and reach the railway station or the airport. The tour ends with happy memories.
